Cycode is seeking talented product marketing professionals to support its rapidly growing business.

 

Job Description: As a Product Marketer at Cycode, you will be a key player in building the industry’s first application security platform focused on securing development infrastructure. While there are many tools to secure the contents and output of the DevOps pipeline, securing infrastructure like GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform and cloud environments is largely an unmet need. This position reports directly to Cycode’s Sr. Director of Product Marketing. 

As an early hire in product marketing, responsibilities will initially be wide-ranging. Key to being successful in this role will be the ability to create messaging and content from scratch, as opposed to extending existing material to new formats. As the marketing team grows there will be opportunities for both career advancement and/or specialization. Your mission is to help establish Cycode as the market leader for securing development infrastructure through:

  • Raising the overall market awareness of the need to secure development infrastructure
  • Message and position Cycode as the best solution
  • Amplify the success of our happy customers 
  • Create compelling content that attracts the right personas to Cycode
  • Empower our sales team with tools and collateral 
  • Educate and influence analysts at leading research firms

You will work closely with other marketers, sales and executive teams to create, implement and execute the product marketing strategy aligned to building a new application security brand. This includes announcements on new features, notable integrations, blogs, whitepapers, briefing materials, award submissions, RFP responses, etc. In this role, you’ll build sales collateral and presentations including competitive differentiation, executive briefing materials, case studies, ROI justifications, etc. on how Cycode helps enterprises secure development infrastructure. While our focus is direct sales, there may be ad hoc requests to customize existing content for channel and technology partners as well.

 

Your Impact

  • Building strong product marketing content, including blogs, videos, and presentations, focused on why modern application security challenges require securing development infrastructure and how Cycode accomplishes this.
  • Translate product capabilities into simple, compelling messages that resonate with customers and build awareness
  • Analyze messaging and sales tool effectiveness with both data and sales acceptance via tools like saleforce.com and chorus.ai
  • Launch new products and features messaging and marketing initiatives aligned to buyers and user communities (Security, DevOps, Engineering leaders) of our solution categories
  • Own Cycode’s online messaging both on Cycode.com as well as Cycode’s listings on other sites such as integration partner’s marketplaces, Crunchbase, GlassDoor, various review sites, as well as the company profiles on Twitter and LinkedIn.
  • Present at internal and external events, highlighting how Cycode empowers security teams to act confidently and efficiently to identify and remediate security policy violations in their dev infrastructure.
  • Win over the analyst community and other influencers.
  • Track the market and competitive landscape, in collaboration with product, marketing, and sales leadership.
  • Collaborate on and lead sales enablement activities, both for Cycode and Partners.
  • Be a subject matter expert and a go-to resource for the sales and field marketing teams.
  • Support joint co-marketing efforts with integration partners.

 

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience as a Product Marketing
  • At least 2 years of experience working in application security or DevOps is highly desired.
  • Understanding of the application security product landscape: SAST, IAST, DAST, WAF, Container security, etc.
  • Understanding of the modern software development lifecycle and the landscape for source control management systems, build systems, infrastructure-as-code and cloud environments.
  • Comfortable with creating and delivering presentations in a range of environments, from industry conferences to customer briefings.
  • Demonstrated product marketing abilities that propel adoption and market momentum; a desire to bring innovative tech products to market.
  • Strong team player with proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
